Law and Accountability Maureen has many years experience as an attorney working for clients and advocating for community organizations at many levels of our government. In 2016, Maureen was appointed by the Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals to serve on the Conference of Orphans' Court Judges.
Meeting quarterly in Annapolis, the Conference of Orphans' Court Judges exchanges ideas and views on the operation, management, and leadership of Orphans' Courts; makes recommendations for legislation and policy that affect Court operations; and provides advice as requested by the Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals and other judicial entities. The Conference also consults with and advises the Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals on matters affecting the Orphans' Courts. Further, the Conference provides a forum for mentoring Orphans' Court judges. To the Education Committee of the Judicial Council, the Conference makes recommendations for the professional development of Orphans' Court judges. |
